We want the audience to know who the main character is and understand the opening
The composition of the piece brings the eye across the whole image creating interest for the person who views it. The point of view angle attracts the viewer and adds depth to the shot.
The elevation of the shot brings depth to the piece. The lighting of the shot also brings depth to the shot. The birds eye angle allows context/surrounding of the shot. This could be used in the opening sequence to make a character look intimidated, especially if the lighting is changed.
The low angle of the shot makes the viewer feel intimidated by the height. The lack of focus to the face and the contrasting focus on the shoe gives the viewer context. This could be used in the opening sequence by giving a certain character a sense of authority.
The mid-shot of the picture creates the idea of a greater picture of what is available. This could be used in the opening sequence to create suspense, especially in the dark setting.
