Evaluation of Memento Storyboarding

Storyboard evaluation

For our storyboard, we took scenes from 2:24 – 2:34, from Memento. On our storyboard, we used camera shot types and angles to describe to the people who were making the clip, so that they have a rough idea of what the scenes should look like. We also included how long each shot should last and images of what should be included in each scene. However, in the original clip, there is a lot more detail used in each shot which we could have included, as well as a description of what is going on in each scene, to give a clearer image. Also, we could have included more detailed images in each box to also give the reader more of an idea of what to do in each scene.
The group who did our storyboard were able to use what they had around them successfully to produce. In the film, there may have been somethings that are difficult to recreate on the school grounds, such as the bullet going back into the gun or the re-creation of the shooting. Apart from the things that may have been difficult to re-create, the scenes were very effective and similar to what we had been able to draw on the storyboard.

If I was to say what went well about our storyboard, I would say that the camera angles and shot types were useful to the group who recreated our scenes. However, I think that a description of what was going on would be more useful and create a more accurate scene.
