Audience Research

(UK poster)
This film is targeting those in demographic classification B as it has a creative plot that would apply to those who like following action. This film would also target classification C1 as there is a doctor in the film so those who are nurses would be able to feel a connection to this character (this character can be seen in the UK trailer)

(UK film trailer)
This film also targets those from an explorer psychographic as the film contains action an movement and this is what this group of viewers enjoy. This idea of the film can be seen from the UK poster because although it is a still the image still suggests movement within the two characters on the cover.

 (Official UK movie website)

The UK movie website would target the audience as it has a bold font that would grab the attention of the viewer and show that is an involving thriller as the font grabs your full attention.
 (Film Facebook page)
The Film Facebook page would grab the intended audience's attention as it shows the UK film poster so in a way it is using previous marketing to gain the attention of those on the internet to watch the film. Furthermore, reusing the same poster makes the move more known as it has repetition of marketing. People who are likely to see this page who are in the target are those involved in media as they like technology.

I did this task so that I could see how film makers appeal to their audiences and how they grab their attention. This is important because it allows me to understand how to appeal to a particular target audience. This will help me when I'm creating my opening sequence because it will mean that I will effectively know how to reach our target audience through our use of cinematography and the ideas that we present.
