Timeline of Titles

There are a total of 21 titles in the Dark Knight Rises opening title sequence. The first title that is seen is that of the production company as this is important as this is the company that created the film; they should get most of the credit for the film. This shows that the way titles are ordered tend to portray what the production company thinks is most important and should be shown to the audience first. After all the production companies, presentations and associations are mentioned the director is then mentioned as he had a key role in creating and producing the work the audience are about to view.

The Font of the titles is very bold and too some extent it blends into the shot and makes it look like part of the initial film. Also blending the font into the scene makes it look more fluid and helps the film to flow in a control way whilst getting the information across that needs to be presented to the viewer.

Finally comparing this title sequence to se7en the titles are both presented in a similar order. Furthermore in both of the sequences little is revealed about the actual film making both of the sequences very suitable for the Thriller genre. However, I prefer the opening titles of se7en as the font is more fitting to the Thriller genre and the way the titles are presented causes disorientation which would imply that the film is of the thriller genre
